CLERMONT, Ind. (Sept. 3, 2018) — Tim Wilkerson clinched the final berth in the NHRA’s Countdown to the Championship in the Funny Car category in the first round of eliminations at the Chevrolet Performance US Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis.
Wilkerson defeated Del Worsham in the first round and both Bob Tasca, III and Cruz Pedregon, the two drivers with the most realistic chance to beat Wilkerson into the Countdown, both lost their round one races.
