Summit Racing Equipment announced on Tuesday an extension of their sponsorship of Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals. This national event will continue under its current name at Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.
This will be the 13th-year under its current name. This year, the event will take place at the end of June.
Besides being the primary sponsors for Greg Anderson and Jason Line’s Pro Stock cars, Summit Racing Equipment is an industry leader in the distribution of auto parts and equipment via catalogs and online. Last August, Anderson and Line signed multi-year agreements to stay with Summit Racing Equipment.
In addition, they also are the sponsor of the NHRA Summit Racing Equipment E.T. Drag Racing Series, the Summit Racing NHRA King of the Track program, and the NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League program that is popular with young racers from age 5-17.
“Summit Racing Equipment is such an important part of NHRA drag racing at all levels,” said Brad Gerber, chief development officer for NHRA. “It’s especially exciting to see all of our fans come together for this event to interact with the brand and show appreciation for their sponsorship and support.”
The Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals will take place from June 20-23. This will be the end of four straight racing weekends for the NHRA teams, especially Funny Car and Top Fuel.
“Summit Racing is excited to announce the continuation of our title rights sponsorship of the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals,” said Jim Greenleaf, motorsports and events manager, Summit Racing Equipment. “We are very fortunate to have such an incredible facility so close to our headquarters in Tallmadge, Ohio and to have a close relationship with the Bader family, who constantly strive to make Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park one of the premiere tracks on the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. We look forward to being a part of this great race for many years to come.”
