ST. LOUIS, MO. (Sept. 24, 2016) The second race in the Countdown for the championship, AAA Midwest Nationals, is underway under the arch. The first day of qualifying showed hot temperatures and fast cars. It looks like the same is in order for Saturday’s final two qualifying sessions.

He will have to get by his teammate, Shawn Langdon, in the first round of competition. Tony Schumacher, J.R. Todd, Doug Kalitta, Shawn Langdon, Steve Torrence, Leah Pritchett, and Brittany Force are also qualified in the top half of the field.
