POMONA, Calif. (December 3, 2018) – Three-time NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle champion Angelle Sampey has left Liberty Racing and is looking for a new ride, the NHRA has reported.
Sampey, who retired from racing in 2008 and returned in 2014, is a 42-time race winner. The 2018 season was her second with the team.
NHRA.com reported today that Sampey met with the team following the final race of the season, at Pomona, California in November. The team will run two entries in 2019 and left the door open for Sampey to ride a third bike if she could secure funding.
Sampey said she could not secure the funding and is looking for other opportunities.
