Jordan Vandergriff to race for BVR in Top Fuel

From media reports
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Oct. 27, 2018) – Jordan Vandergriff, the nephew of NHRA Nitro class veteran Bob Vandergriff, will join the family firm (so to speak) when he pilots a Top Fuel car in 2018.

Jordan Vandergriff, 23, will drive a Bob Vandergriff Racing entry sponsored by D-A Lubricant. The plan is to run a partial schedule in 2018, joining Blake Alexander as the team drivers. Jordan Vandergriff has previously competed in the NHRA’s Super Comp and Top Alcohol Dragster categories.

“I’ve been watching my Uncle Bob race since I was a kid,” Jordan Vandergriff said. “He’s ben in drag racing for 20-plus years. I remember going to Pomona and Sonoma and just dreaming of driving a racecar someday. Now I’m making that dream come true.”

Jordan Vandergriff has worked on Alexander’s car this season with the rest of the BVR crew, under the supervision of crew chief Ron Douglas. Alexander’s car sported the D-A Lubricant colors at the NHRA Toyota Nationals here this weekend.

Jordan Vandergriff is a California native.
