HOUSTON, Texas (April 18, 2018) – Cruz Pedregon will roll out a new Snap-on Tools Toyota Camry chassis at this weekend’s NHRA Spring Nationals at Royal Purple Raceway.
Pedregon, who has three wins at the track, is 12th in NHRA Funny Car points as the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series heads to Texas.
“It’s a terrific opportunity for us to have a fresh car on a track that’s been good to us in the past,” Pedregon said. “We always enjoy the races here in Texas. Since we’ve won here at Royal Purple three times before, the plan is to make it a nice even four wins.”
The team tested the new chassis following the most recent NHRA race at Las Vegas, Nevada. Crew Chief Aaron Brooks said the new chassis performed well in the test.
Qualifying starts Friday and continues through Saturday. Eliminations are scheduled for Sunday.
