Toyota Nationals Q3 & Q4

LAS VEGAS, NV. (Oct. 29, 2016) The second day of qualifying always provides the drivers, tuners, and fans some insight into the magic that is waiting ahead for final eliminations on Sunday. With Halloween looming on Monday, the second Vegas race of the year always provides for entertainment on the track and in the pits with a mix of fast cars and crazy costumes.

Top Fuel

Clay Millican pulled a shocker in Q4 and took over the top spot with a track E.T. record of 3.689 @ 327.27 mph. This is Millican’s second number one qualifier of the year. Leah Pritchett, Doug Kalitta, Antron Brown, Tony Schumacher, Steve Torrence, Brittany Force, and Shawn Langdon are the top eight qualifiers.

Funny Car

Jack Beckman snatched the pole away from his teammate Matt Hagan in the final round of qualifying. Beckman made a blistering 3.871 @ 327.43 mph. That was not only good enough for the number one spot, it also gave him Beckman the track E.T. record. Matt Hagan, John Force, Ron Capps, Robert Hight, Tim Wilkerson, Del Worsham, and Courtney Force round out the top half of the Funny Car final eliminations ladder.

Pro Stock

Greg Anderson picked up the green hat at the end of Q4. Anderson’s 6.677 @ 205.72 mph run that he made in Q3 was a mere two-thousands of a second better than the number two qualifier, Drew Skillman. Alex Laughlin, Shane Gray, Bo Butner, Jason Line, Vincent Nobile, and Erica Enders fill up the top half of the ladder.

Pro Stock Motorcycle 

Jerry Savoie was able to throw down a time in Q3 that remained untouchable. His 6.880 @ 193.96 mph run kept the Harley-Davidson duo of Eddie Krawiec and Andrew Hines at bay in second and third respectively. Angelle Sampey, Hector Arana, Matt Smith, Hector Arana Jr., and Steve Johnson are the top eight qualifiers in the two-wheel field.
