The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series has found a new permanent sponsor for the series. NOS Energy Drinks has entered into a multi-year agreement with the series on Thursday, and it will now be known as the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series.

Craftsman Tools had been the title sponsor since February 2016. The three-year deal ended at the end of the 2018 season.

“NOS Energy joined the World of Outlaws last season, and we couldn’t be prouder to have them expand their involvement and become our title sponsor,” said World of Outlaws CEO Brian Carter. “The Greatest Show on Dirt runs the fiercest schedule in all of Motorsports, so our drivers, crews, and fans need all the horsepower and stamina they can get.”

The World of Outlaws has been around since 1978. The Sprint Car racing series travels around the United States and Canada.

Donny Schatz won the Championship for the fifth straight year in 2018. Daryn Pittman was the last non-Schatz driver to win the Championship in 2013.

The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars Series will kick off the 2019 season on Friday, February 8th. The DIRTcar Nationals will take place at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida.

The Series runs from Friday, February 8th through the World of Outlaws World Finals, ending on Saturday, November 9th at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina.

“The response last season from World of Outlaws fans, drivers and really the whole community was pretty overwhelming and is really the biggest factor in our decision to expand our involvement,” Lauren Albano, Marketing Director for NOS Energy Drink Lauren Albano said. “The World of Outlaws brand of racing is authentic, raw and contagious, and we are more than excited to continue to fuel the sport’s passion on and off the track.”

Besides being the title sponsor, NOS Energy will also be the title sponsor of the No. 17 car for Stenhouse Jr. Marshall Racing. Sheldon Haudenschild will be the driver.

Haudenschild had five wins during his second season in the series.

“NOS Energy’s trackside sampling program has been a welcome bonus for our fans, and their retail promotional efforts will help spread the World of Outlaws brand through major retailers across the country, which is great for everyone involved in the sport,” World of Outlaws Chief Marketing Officer Ben Geisler said. “It is also important to thank the tens of thousands of employees and associates at Craftsman and Sears for everything they have done for Sprint Car racing over the years as we welcome NOS Energy for 2019 and beyond.”
