AAA Fall Nationals Q3 & Q4

DALLAS, TX (Oct. 15, 2016) With a few track records set yesterday, more fast runs were in store for the last day of qualifying for the AAA Fall Nationals. Yesterday the championship contenders displayed that they are in the title positions they’re holding down for a reason. Today was absolutely no different.

Top Fuel

Championship points-leader, Antron Brown held the pole position from the get-go. His 3.682 @ 330.55 mph run set both the track and E.T. records for Texas Motorplex. Brown’s DSR stablemates, Leah Pritchett and Tony Schumacher are qualified second and third respectively. Brown’s main title competition, Doug Kalitta, qualified in the bottom half of the field in ninth. JR Todd, Brittany Force, Shawn Langdon, Steve Torrence, and Richie Crampton make up the top half of the field.

Funny Car

Robert Hight’s Q1 time of 3.839 @ 332.02 mph stuck through Q4 and earned him the green hat. While not a mathematical championship contender, Hight has been in winning form this year. Jack Beckman, Tommy Johnson Jr., Matt Hagan, Courtney Force, Del Worsham, Ron Capps, and John Force are the top eight qualifiers.

Pro Stock

KB Racing flexed its horsepower this weekend, taking the top two qualifying spots with Jason Line and Greg Anderson. Line had a 6.568 @ 210.34 mph pass while Anderson ran a 6.579 @ 210.11 mph. Alex Laughlin, Shane Gray, Bo Butner, Vincent Nobile, Allen Johnson, and Chris McGaha are on the top half of the qualifying ladder.

Pro Stock Motorcycle

Jerry Savoie got his Suzuki to the top spot of the PSM ladder. The privateer got past the classes’ Harley-Davidson heavyweights, Andrew Hines and Eddie Krawiec in Q3 with a 6.805 @ 197.31 mph run. Andrew Hines, Eddie Krawiec, Angelle Sampey, Chip Ellis, Hector Arana Jr., LE Tonglet, and Cory Reed fill out the top eight in the field.
